Part-time timetable review

Closed 28 Nov 2023

Opened 16 Oct 2023

Overview

This survey is for parents and carers whose children are currently on a part-time timetable or who have previously been on a part-time timetable.

The Nottinghamshire Parent Carer Forum (NPCF) is currently carrying out a review of children and young people on part-time timetables. The forum identified from its members that there seemed to be growing numbers of children on part-time timetables and that parents were unsure of what systems were in place to oversee their use.

The County Council has agreed to support NPCF to undertake a review into the use of part-time timetables and talk to all those involved: schools, practitioners from across the local authority, parent carers and young people, and learn about their experiences and understanding of part-time timetables.

The purpose of the review is for the NPCF to gain a complete picture and make recommendations to the Local Authority about where improvements could be made, perhaps in the information available or the communications with families. The review also aims to gather experiences from schools and families about integration back into full-time education, to share successful practice across Nottinghamshire.

Your participation is voluntary and all questions are optional. If you do not feel like answering a question, you do not have to.

Thank you for your time!

NPCF is a charity that provides a voice for parents and/or carers of children with special educational needs or disabilities. We work to get parents and carers’ experiences to the providers of statutory services to help build better services for all families of disabled children in Nottinghamshire.
