Abbey & Lady Bay Children’s Centre - Changes to a Children’s Centre Service building
Overview
Whenever we plan to make changes to a Children’s Centre building, we are required to undertake a consultation with local parents and other interested parties.
This consultation will be available online at Nottinghamshire County Council’s Citizen Space and paper copies of the questionnaire will be available through the Rushcliffe Children’s Centre Service team, at the Children’s Centre and West Bridgford Library.
Currently the Rushcliffe Children’s Centre Service team share the Abbey & Lady Bay Children’s Centre building with a pre-school and an out of school club, the building is mostly used for childcare. With the expansion of the funded childcare offer (including children from 9 months from September 2024), Nottinghamshire County Council is keen to explore changing the use of the building to be used solely for childcare (early years and out of school wrap around) to meet increased demand for childcare places in the area.
Children’s Centre Services will continue at a number of community venues, such as the Library and in family homes, so there will be no loss in service and the team base will move into one of the County Council’s buildings in West Bridgford.
This consultation is to get your views on our plans and should take around five minutes to complete.
Thank you for your help.
