Overview

Nottinghamshire County Council working with planning specialists the Pegasus Group are currently preparing the proposals for devlopment on land at Top Wighay Farm, Linby (near Hucknall). The proposals include 805 new homes, land for employment purposes, a new primary school and associated infrastructure, as well as new areas of open space, landscaping, and children’s play.

Land has been identified at the site as a strategic location for growth and has been allocated for residential and employment development in Part 1 of the Local Plan which was adopted by Gedling Borough Council in September 2014.

What happens next

Once all comments have been reviewed a planning application will be submitted to Gedling Borough Council in early 2020 who will then undertake their own consultation.

    For anyone who would like to learn more about the plans for land development at Top Wighay Farm, Linby (near Hucknall) and to talk to the project team, a community engagement event is being held on Tuesday 19 November between 3.30pm and 7.30pm at the Scouts Association, Robey Close, Linby.
