A620 HOSPITAL ROAD, RETFORD - PROPOSED PUFFIN CROSSING ADVERT
Overview
Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services across the county. The County Council has received a request for a pedestrian crossing on A620 Hospital Road, Retford. Funding for the delivery of the crossing has been secured through the 2025 Consolidated Active Travel Fund (CATF) for a new signalised puffin crossing.
In response to this request, a feasibility study was carried out along A620 Hospital Road, Retford, identifying the most appropriate location for the crossing. This has been determined as the existing central reservation near the entrance to Kings Park, situated between the junctions of Rectory Road and Queens Street.
The crossing will include a controlled area, identified by the introduction of zig-zag road markings, within which stopping, parking and loading would be prohibited at all times.
In accordance with Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, I hereby enclose for your information the statutory public notice setting out Nottinghamshire County Council’s intention to introduce the puffin crossing on A620 Hospital Road, Retford.
The public notice will be published in the Retford Times and notices will be fixed on site. A plan showing the extents of the ‘No Stopping or No Loading At Any Time’ restrictions (Zig-Zag lines) is attached (Drawing Number TP2620010/TS105) along with a copy of the site notice.
