Beacon Hill Road, Newark - Proposed Residents' Parking Scheme

Overview

In December 2022 a questionnaire was sent to all affected residents to assess the level of support for a residents’ parking scheme on Beacon Hill Road between its junction with The Gateway and Wellington Road. The questionnaires were sent to 56 residents of which 21 (38%) replied, of the responses 15 (71%) were in favour of the introduction of a residents’ parking scheme. These results meet the criteria for the scheme to proceed to the formal consultation stage. The proposal is to introduce a residents parking scheme that would be operation on Monday to Saturday between 8am and 7.30pm when a permit would be required to park on street. The existing double yellow lines would still prohibit waiting by all vehicles at all times. The proposals would remove non-resident parking from Beacon Hill Road.
