Bullpit Road and Wolfit Avenue, Balderton Proposed Double Yellow Lines (TRO 3310) and Bus Stop Clearways

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd. is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. NCC works closely with all public transport operators across the county to identify bus stops and bus routes that suffer from obstructive parking. It has been reported that the buses on Stagecoach Service 3 regularly have difficulty manoeuvring around the Bullpit Road/Wolfit Avenue junction and accessing the bus stops in the vicinity due to parked vehicles.

To address these issues, the following is proposed, as shown on drawing number H/MN/3285/01:

• Introduce ‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) around the Bullpit Road/Wolfit Avenue junction. 
• Change the ‘Both Ways’ bus stop (NS0708 and NS0071) on Wolfit Avenue into separate bus stops with a pole on each side of the road.
• Introduce bus stop clearways (no stopping at any time except buses) at bus stops NS0275, NS0708 and NS0071. The clearways would be clearly identified with new road markings and signs.
• Introduce ‘School Keep Clear’ markings (No Stopping Monday to Friday between 8am and 4.30pm)
• The existing School Keep Clear markings will be retained.
