NNS52 - Eakring Road, Mansfield - Proposed Bus Stop Improvements

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd, working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, Proposes relocating the existing bus stop pole, removing the existing bus stop shelter, and installing a new enforceable clearway at the proposed location as shown in the attached plan, drawing number H/FR/4986/01.

Concerns have been raised about the accessibility of the bus stop for pedestrians, and buses being unable to properly use the stop due to the proximity to the Big Barn Lane junction. It is therefore proposed to relocate the stop and install a bus stop clearway which will prohibit other vehicles from parking or waiting in the bus stop at any time. This will be clearly identified with new road markings and signage.
