GARTH ROAD / WAVERLEY ROAD, MANSFIELD - PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING

Overview

Via East Midlands, working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, is consulting on installing traffic calming features on Garth Road and Waverley Road, Mansfield.

These two roads are used by many motorists as a cut through, in the past 3 years there have been three road injury accidents in this area. Nottinghamshire County Council wish to reduce the number of incidents involving vulnerable road users, throughout the County.

It is proposed to install 4 No. sets of sinusoidal humps on Garth Rd and Waverley Rd, Mansfield; with 2 humps on Garth Rd and 2 humps on Waverley Rd. These are 75mm high and 4m long in the direction of travel.
