Gonalston Lane, Gonalston and Hoveringham - Proposed Double Yellow Lines (No waiting at any time)

Closed 14 Nov 2022

Opened 13 Oct 2022

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd, working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, is proposing to introduce double yellow lines (no waiting at any time) on Gonalston Lane in Gonalston and Hoveringham. The proposed restrictions would be to both sides of the road and would start from the bend to the north-west of the railway level crossing and continue in a south-easterly direction to the 30mph signs on the entry into Hoveringham village (an approximate distance of 1.1Km). The restrictions would not apply to the existing informal parking areas.

The restrictions are intended to keep the road clear of parked vehicles to give an unobstructed route for other road users. The removal of parked vehicles would give better visibility for drivers turning out onto Gonalston Lane. The prohibition of waiting would also include the grass verges which would help to stop vehicles from damaging them.
