Main Road, Radcliffe On Trent - Proposed Prohibition of waiting and Parking Places

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. Concerns have been raised about inconsiderate and obstructive parking along Main Road which is causing issues with access and visibility. The obstructive and inconsiderate parking is forcing buses and other road users on to the opposite side of the carriageway which could lead to collisions especially on corners or bends.

It is proposed to introduce double yellow lines (No Waiting at Any Time), single yellow lines (No Waiting, Mon – Sat, 8am – 6pm) and limited waiting bays (Maximum Stay 2 hours).

Further to the stage 1 consultation letter of 08th August 2025, the next stage of the consultation is to publicly advertise the scheme. The notice will be published in the Nottingham Post and notices will be fixed on site. A plan showing the extents of the proposed double yellow lines (‘No Waiting At Any Time’) restrictions is attached (Drawing Number H/TS/4962/02/A) along with a copy of the site notice.
