NNS111 - Mere Way, Ruddington - Waiting Restrictions
Overview
Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. Nottinghamshire County Council has received complaints of obstructive and inconsiderate parking along Mere Way which is causing visibility issues at the junctions and making it difficult for vehicles especially buses, to navigate along the road. It is proposed to introduce (Double Yellow Lines) ‘No Waiting at Any Time.’ A plan showing the proposals (H/FR/5028/01) is attached.
Further to the stage 1 consultation letter of 16th July 2025, the next stage of the consultation is to publicly advertise the scheme. The notice will be published in the Nottingham Post and notices will be fixed on site. A plan showing the extents of the proposed double yellow lines (‘No Waiting At Any Time’) restrictions is attached (Drawing Number H/FR/5028/01) along with a copy of the site notice.
The proposed No Waiting At Any Time (‘double yellow lines’) restrictions are being introduced to address inconsiderate and obstructive parking along the road.
Any objections to the proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing before 3rd October 2025 using the e-mail or postal address at the bottom of the letter. If the objection cannot be resolved, it will be reported through the County Council’s procedures at the appropriate time.
