NNS131/132 - Ordsall Road, Retford - Bus Stop Clearways and Formalisations

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd, is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. As part of some wider highway improvements, concerns have been raised regarding the existing bus stops in terms of their identifiabilty of where persons should wait, and accessability for elderly or disabled persons.

To address this issue, it is therefore proposed to introduce 2 bus stop clearways (which will allow the buses to properly align with the kerbs) and 2 new sets of raised kerbing and bus stop poles (to clearly identify bus stops). A plan of the proposed restrictions can be seen on drawing number H/SH/5210/01 and H/SH/5294/01.
