Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd, is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. As part of some wider highway improvements, concerns have been raised regarding the capacity issue at Newark Bus Station.

To address this issue, it is therefore proposed to create a bus stand, in place of the existing parking place, from 7am till 7pm to provide additional dedicated parking for local buses (NS0984). A plan of the proposed restrictions can be seen on drawing number H/SH/5238/01.

Objections

Any objections should clearly state the fact that it is an objection; the scheme to is regarding; and the reasons for the objection. Objections should reach us in writing, either by letter or email, by 4th November 2025. If the objection cannot be resolved, it will be reported through the County Council’s procedures at the appropriate time.
