NNS162 - Preston Road, Rainworth - Double Yellow Lines

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd, is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. As part of some wider highway improvements, concerns have been raised regarding the existing obstructive and inconsiderate parking at the junction of Station Road and Preston Road, Rainworth. These parking issues have meant it has been difficult for the buses to manoeuvre round the junction.

To address this issue, it is therefore proposed to introduce double yellow lines from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Station Road in a westerly direction to a point 15 metres west of its junction with Station Road, and from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Preston Road No. 10 - 28 in a westerly direction to a point 15 metres west of its junction with Preston Road No. 10 - 28. A plan of the proposed restrictions can be seen on drawing number H/SH/5351/01.
