Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd, is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire.  To improve visitor access to Gedling Country Park the County Council proposes to relocate bus stops GE0670 and GE0683 closer to the park entrance.  To protect these stops from obstruction by parked vehicles bus stop clearways will also be introduced at the stops.  The clearways will prohibit other vehicles from parking or waiting in the bus stop at all times and will be clearly identified with new road markings and signage.

The County Council also proposes to introduce ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) on Spring Lane to ensure visibility and access for drivers and pedestrians is maintained around the junction.

These changes in addition to ongoing proposals to improve access to the Country Park, which will also see an extension to the car parking facilities; providing approximately 100 additional parking spaces.
