Overview

The new 30mph speed limit on Mapperley Plains extends from near its junction with Spring Lane to near its junction with Bailey Drive. The new speed limit has replaced the previous 40mph speed limit. The new speed limit joins up with the recently introduced 30mph speed limit on Spring Lane and covers all the residential roads off Mapperley Plains, the Spring Lane mini roundabout and the new Colliery Way (Gedling Access Road) junction. The new lower speed limit will give more time for drivers to react to slowing and turning vehicles.
