SEALED ORDER DOCUMENTS - Gonalston Lane, Hoveringham - Double Yellow Lines

Closed 7 Aug 2023

Opened 23 Jun 2023

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd, working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, has introduced double yellow lines (no waiting at any time) on Gonalston Lane, Hoveringham. The are restrictions would to both sides of the road and would start from the bend to the north-west of the railway level crossing and continue in a south-easterly direction to the 30mph signs on the entry into Hoveringham village (an approximate distance of 1.1Km). The restrictions do not apply to the existing informal parking areas.

The restrictions are intended to keep the road clear of parked vehicles to give an unobstructed route for other road users. The removal of parked vehicles would give better visibility for drivers turning out onto Gonalston Lane. The prohibition of waiting would also include the grass verges which would help to stop vehicles from damaging them.

The works to install the double yellow lines to 200 metres either side of the level crossing will be completed at a later date (Part B).
