Southwell to Upton to A617 - Proposed 50mph Speed Limit

Overview

It is proposed to introduce a 50mph speed limit between Southwell and the A617. The road currently has a National Speed Limit of 60mph. The proposed speed limit is being introduced in response to requests and reflects the recommendations made in the A and B Road Speed Limit Review which produced a recommendation for all the A and B roads in Nottinghamshire. The new speed limit would be consistent with the existing 50mph speed limits on the A617 and on the Nottingham Road to the south of Southwell.
