Overview

Derby Road between Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Mansfield is an unlit, single carriageway A-road approximately 4.5km long. Between January 2014 and December 2016, 35 road injury accidents were recorded by the police along this road including one fatal accident and four serious accidents. Following analysis by the Crash Reduction Team, it was recommended that the speed limit be reduced from derestricted (60 M.P.H) to 50 M.P.H.
