Overview

Conditions relating to the planning permission for Beardall Fields Primary and Nursery School identified the need to introduce a school safety zone. The zone will promote road safety and encourage the use of sustainable transport modes. It is therefore proposed to introduce ‘School Keep Clear’ markings, double yellow lines and single yellow lines to improve visibility and access for pedestrians and drivers in the vicinity of the school as shown on drawing number H/JMR/3101/01. It is also proposed to install a school warning sign on Emperors Way and flashing amber warning lights on Papplewick Lane.
