THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (WESTGATE AND NORFOLK STREET, WORKSOP) TRAFFIC CALMING

Overview

Via East Midlands, working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, is consulting on installing traffic calming features on Westgate and Norfolk Street, Worksop. The background to the scheme is that during the period 1/1/17 to 30/9/20 there have been a total of 4 road injury accidents in this area. Nottinghamshire County Council wish to reduce the number of incidents involving vulnerable road users. As a result, we are proposing to install six sets of speed cushions on Westgate and three road humps on Norforlk Street, specifically sinusoidal profile road humps. These would be 75mm high and 4m long in the direction of travel.
