TRO 1286 ADVERT - STATION AVENUE AND STATION ROAD, RANSKILL - PROPOSED DOUBLE YELLOW LINES

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd, is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. Concerns have been raised about inconsiderate and obstructive parking at the junction of Station Road and Station Avenue, Ranskill. This reduces visibility and increases the risk for drivers and pedestrians using the junction.  It is also causing accessibility issues for the bus which can delay the bus services as passengers have to walk out into the road to board.  The bus has to perform a reversing manoeuvre into Station Avenue and this has become harder due to indiscriminate parking at this junction

To address this issue, it is therefore proposed to introduce ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) around and opposite the junction, as shown on drawing number H/JW/4246/01. Before proceeding further, I wish to consider the views of residents, businesses and organisations who may be interested in this matter.
