1295 ADVERT - ASKHAM ROAD, EAST MARKHAM -PROPOSED NO STOPPING ON ENTRANCE CLEARWAYS

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. Concerns have been raised regarding inconsiderate and obstructive parking outside and opposite East Markham Primary School. This reduces visibility and access for drivers and pedestrians using the entrances/exits to the school.

To address this issue, it is proposed to extend the existing School Keep Clear Marking across the entrance to the school and to introduce an additional School Keep Clear Marking on the opposite side of the road to the school, as shown on drawing number H/JW/4499/01. The School Keep Clear Markings will prohibit stopping Mon – Fri 8am – 4.30pm on these restrictions during the school day, which will make it easier and safer for pedestrians to access the school.
