Overview

 

Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. Concerns have been raised about inconsiderate and obstructive parking on Portland Place, Sutton Cum Lound, opposite the junction of Portland Meadows which is causing issues at school drop off and pick up times.

To address this issue, it is therefore proposed to introduce single yellow lines (‘No Waiting Mon – Fri 8am – 4.30pm’) restrictions. It is also proposed to make the existing School Keep Clear marking legally enforceable as shown on drawing number H/CLW/5005/01.

Any objections should clearly state the reasons for the objections and should reach us in writing, either by letter or email, by 9th October 2025. If the objection cannot be resolved, it will be reported through the County Council’s procedures at the appropriate time.
