TRO 1322 SEALED ORDER - PORTLAND PLACE, SUTTON CUM LOUND - PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND NO STOPPING ON ENTRANCE CLEARWAYS
Overview
The Prohibition of Waiting and No Stopping on Entrance Clearways for Portland Place, Sutton Cum Lound was sealed on Thursday 12th March 2026 and will come into force on Friday 27th March 2026.
The no waiting restrictions are required to address issues with inconsiderate and obstructive parking in the area.
Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver Highway Services.
Nottinghamshire County Council has received complaints of obstructive and inconsiderate parking on Portland Place, Sutton Cum Lound, opposite the junction of Porland Meadows, which is causing issues at school drop off and pick up times. It is therefore proposed to introduce a single yellow line (‘No Waiting Mon – Fri 8am – 4.30pm’) restrictions. It is also proposed to make the existing School Keep Clear marking legally enforceable.
The restrictions have been introduced to deal with inconsiderate and obstructive parking opposite the junction of Portland Meadows is shown on drawing number H/CLW5005/01.
