TRO 1329 ADVERT - B6387 MUTTONSHIRE HILL AND B6387 OLLERTON ROAD, GAMSTON - PROPOSED EXTENSION OF 40MPH SPEED LIMIT

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire County Council has received requests to extend the existing 40mph speed limit on B6387 Muttonshire Hill / Ollerton Road, Gamston in order to improve road safety. An assessment of the existing speed limit has been carried out and it has been confirmed that the section of B6387 Muttonshire Hill / Ollerton Road, Gamston from the existing 40 mph on B6387 Muttonshire Hill in a south westerly direction to just past the entrance to Retford (Gamston) Airport is suitable for a 40mph speed limit. 

Further to the stage one consultation letter of 24th September 2025, the next stage of the consultation is to publicly advertise the scheme. The notice will be published in the Retford Times and notices will be fixed on site. A plan showing the proposals is attached (Drawing Number H/CLW/5066/01 REV A) along with a copy of the site notice.

Any objections should clearly state the reasons for the objections and should reach us in writing, either by letter or email, by 2nd January 2026. If the objection cannot be resolved, it will be reported through the County Council’s procedures at the appropriate time.

Please be advised that all comments regarding this scheme, made during the Stage One Consultation period, still remain valid throughout this Stage Two Consultation period.
