TRO 2293 ADVERT - COMMON LANE, MANSFIELD - 30 M.P.H SPEED LIMIT
Overview
Via East Midlands Ltd, working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, has received requests to extend the existing 30 mph Speed Limit on Common Lane, Mansfield Woodhouse. The proposed extension of the 30 mph Speed Limit is being introduced to ensure the speed restriction is more consistent with the character and function of the road, and to ensure that the junction with Northfield Lane is appropriately included within the lower speed limit, thereby improving road safety for all users.
As part of the review, three existing speed humps are also proposed for removal. These features are not considered appropriate for this section of carriageway, as it is unlit and therefore subject to the National Speed Limit.
The proposed extension of the 30-mph Speed Limit is shown on drawing number H/CLW/5356/01. The advert will be published in the Mansfield and Ashfield Chad and notices will be displayed on site.
Any objections should clearly state the reasons for the objections and should reach us in writing, either by letter or email by, 13th May 2026. If the objection cannot be resolved, it will be reported through the County Council’s procedures at the appropriate time.
