TRO 3404 ADVERT - FOSSE ROAD, EAST STOKE, ELSTON AND SYERSTON AND FOSSE WAY, FLINTHAM - PROPOSED 40 MPH AND 50 MPH SPEED LIMITS

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd, is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire County Council have received requests to reduce the speed limit on Fosse Way, Syerston at the junction of Fosse Way/A46 junction (near RAF Syerston base) to Fosse Road/Elston Lane, East Stoke.  A lot of this section of road does not have a footway and it connects two sections of national cycle network (route 48), this means there are a number of vulnerable road users along this route.    A review of the road confirms that it is suitable for a 40 mph and 50mph speed limit which would align with national guidance.
