The Nottinghamshire County Council (Access Road to Allotments off Chesterfield Road, Huthwaite) (Prohibition of Driving) Traffic Regulation Order 2018 (4211)

Overview

It is proposed to introduce a prohibition of driving restriction on the access track to the allotments south of Strawberry Bank off Chesterfield Road, Huthwaite. This follows the reoccurrence of Unauthorised Encampments on this land which have recently caused significant problems for allotment holders, the local community and Local Authorities.

The prohibition will restrict access to the land to vehicles less than 2 metres in height. It is proposed to install a 2 metre height restriction barrier at the entrance to the access track. The intention of the height restriction barrier is to prevent access for caravans but allow access for allotment holders and service vehicles who have legitimate access rights.
