TRO 4315 - LOVESEY AVENUE AREA, HUCKNALL - PROPOSED BUS GATE, NO RIGHT TURN AND BUS STOP CLEARWAY - PUBLIC ADVERT

Closes 3 Dec 2025

Opened 5 Nov 2025

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. As part of a new housing development off Lovesey Avenue in Hucknall, it is proposed to introduce a Bus Gate (no access except for buses, cyclists and authorised vehicles) to the north-east section of the estate. This will stop Lovesey Avenue from being used as a bypass from the A611 to the B6009 Watnall Road, whilst still maintaining access for buses to help provide an efficient service for residents of the estate.

As part of the scheme, it is also proposed to introduce a No Right Turn prohibition for traffic exiting Fairey Battle Lane, which would stop road users from entering the bus gate.

Lastly, a new bus stop clearway is proposed at the new bus stop adjacent to the development, which will prohibit other vehicles from parking or waiting in the bus stop at any time. This will protect the bus stop area from any incidences of obstructive parking and will be clearly identified with new road markings and signage.

The location and details of the proposals are shown on the enclosed drawing H/MW/4772/01.

Any objections should clearly state the reasons for the objections and should reach us in writing, either by letter or email, by the 3rd December 2025. If the objection cannot be resolved, it will be reported through the County Council’s procedures at the appropriate time.
