Overview

Nottinghamshire County Council have received complaints regarding the existing layout and parking provisions on City Road, Beeston. Users have expressed concern that the gap between parking spaces for non-motorised was too narrow. The lack of dropped kerbs on the adjacent footway meant that wheelchair/pushchair users and cyclists had to squeeze through the narrow gap and travel in the road until they reached the dropped kerbs.

In response to these concerns, Nottinghamshire County Council have modified the existing scheme to improve access for these users.
