TRO 5378 ADVERT - PEVERIL ROAD, BEESTON - PROPOSED RESIDENTS PARKING SCHEME

Overview

In December 2023 a questionnaire was sent to all affected residents to assess the level of support for a residents’ parking scheme on Peveril Road, Beeston, between its junction with Broadgate and Kenilworth Road. The questionnaires were sent to 51 properties on Peveril Road, Beeston. There were a total of 27 returned questionnaires returned (52.94 %), 20 of these (74.07%) are in favour, 5 of these (18.52%) are against the proposals.

In order for the County Council to consider the introduction of a RPS there has to be 35% of the questionnaires returned and of these 65% must be in favour.

As the returns from the residents meets the criteria, the next stage of the process is to formally consult on the proposals to introduce a RPS which would be operatation Mon – Sat, 9am – 10am and 3pm – 4pm

The proposed double yellow lines would prohibit waiting by all vehicles at all times.

The proposals would remove non-resident parking from Peveril Road.
