TRO 7288 Shelford Road & Wollaton Avenue, Gedling

Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. Concerns have been raised about inconsiderate and obstructive parking at the Junction of Sherwood Road and Wollaton Avenue, Gedling. This reduces visibility and access for drivers and pedestrians using the junction.

Concerns have also been raised about the accessibility of bus stop GE0861 for pedestrians, and buses being unable to properly use the stop due to parked vehicles. To address this issue Double Yellow Lines (No Waiting At Any Time) have been introduced around the junction, as well as a new enforceable Bus Stop Clearway (No Stopping At Any Time, Except Buses), which will prohibit other vehicles from parking or waiting in the bus stop at any time. This will be clearly identified with new road markings and signage. The extent of restrictions can be seen on drawing number H/TS/5212/01.
