TRO 8346 ADVERT - SANDY LANE, BY-WAY13, HOLME PIERREPONT - PROPOSED PROHIBITION OF DRIVING

Overview

In order to prevent unauthorised use of By-way No. 13 on Sandy Lane, Holme Pierrepont, Nottinghamshire County Council is proposing to introduce a Prohibition of Driving and close the restricted by-way to motorised vehicles.  The route will remain open to legal users; walkers, horse riders, pedal-cyclists and horse drawn vehicles.  The by-way would be closed with bollards with a 1.5 m central gap at its junction with A52 (T) Radcliffe Road and also south of ‘The Rectory’ on Sandy Lane.  This barrier would physically prevent the route being used by motor vehicles, whilst maintaining a through-route for pedestrians, cyclists, equestrians and carriage drivers.  Legitimate private access rights will not be affected.
