TRO 8385 SEALED ORDER - LANTERN LANE, EAST LEAKE - PARKING RESTRICTIONS
Overview
The parking restrictions Traffic Regulation Order for Lantern Lane, East Leake was Sealed on Thursday 4th December 2025 and will come into force on Thursday 11th December 2025. The parking restrictions will help to keep the road outside the school clear of vehicles during the school day making it safer for pupils attending the school, whilst also helping to to improve conditions for buses accessing/egressing the school site.
Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire County Council has extended the existing traffic calming and installed a zebra crossing to assist pedestrians in crossing Lantern Lane to access both the primary and secondary schools and leisure centres.
As part of this scheme the Single Yellow Lines and School Keep Clear Marking road markings which Prohibit Stopping Mon – Fri 8 am – 4.30 pm in the area outside all of the schools and the Leisure Centre have been revised to make it easier and safer for pedestrians to access the school and Leisure Centre. This parking restriction is also required to help improve conditions for buses accessing/egressing the school site.
The scheme also includes providing junction protection to improve access and visibility for drivers when entering and exiting the junction of Sharpley Drive and Lantern Lane.
