Overview

The 40 mph Speed Limit Order for B692 Fosse Way, Bingham was Sealed on Monday 10th November 2025 and will come into force on Monday 17th November 2025. The 40mph Speed Limit is required to improve road safety for all road users.

Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services. 

Nottinghamshire County Council has received requests to reduce the speed limit on a section of the B692 Fosse Way at Bingham so that it is more in keeping with the character of the road. The presence of street lighting and footways on this section, and proposals to install a new pedestrian crossing over the A46 along with a new signalled crossing over Fosse Way suggest that a 40mph speed limit would be suitable.
