TRO 8399A SEALED ORDER - B692 FOSSE WAY, BINGHAM - 40MPH SPEED LIMIT

Overview

The 40 mph Speed Limit Order for B692 Fosse Way, Bingham was Sealed on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 and will come into force on Wednesday 10th December 2025. The 40mph Speed Limit is required to improve road safety for all road users and to ensure it is more in keeping with the character of the road. 

Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services.

Nottinghamshire County Council has received requests to reduce the speed limit on a section of the B692 Fosse Way at Bingham so that it is more in keeping with the character of the road. The presence of street lighting and footways on this section, and proposals to install a new pedestrian crossing over the A46 along with a new signalled crossing over Fosse Way suggest that a 40 mph speed limit would be suitable.
