TRO 8414 ADVERT - CHURCH STREET AND LAUNDER STREET, ORSTON - PROPOSED PARKING RESTRICTIONS
Overview
Via East Midlands Ltd, is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. Concerns have been raised about inconsiderate and obstructive parking at the junction of Church Street and Launder Street, Orston and outside Orston Primary School. This reduces visibility and access for drivers and prevents the bus from turning around.
To address this issue, it is therefore proposed to introduce ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) around the junction, along with single Yellow Lines (No waiting Mon – Fri 8am – 9.30am and 3pm – 4.30pm) as shown on drawing number H/SLW/5194/01. It is also proposed to make the existing Bus Stop legally enforceable to be in operation Mon – Fri 7am – 7 pm.
Any objections should clearly state the reasons for the objections and should reach us in writing, either by letter or email, by 9th October 2025. If the objection cannot be resolved, it will be reported through the County Council’s procedures at the appropriate time.
