TRO7286 - LEAPOOL ROUNDABOUT AND MANSFIELD ROAD, REDHILL - PROPOSED CLEARWAYS - PUBLIC ADVERT

Closes 29 Aug 2025

Opened 1 Aug 2025

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd, is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services in Nottinghamshire. As part of some wider highway improvements, concerns have been raised regarding the existing single yellow lines and loading restrictions along the A60 Mansfield Road, Redhill, which allow drivers to stop along a section of unsuitable road during certain times of day.

To address this issue, it is therefore proposed to introduce a 24 hour rural clearway (no stopping on the main carriageway at any time) to tie into the existing clearway on the A614 Ollerton Road north of Leapool Roundabout. It should be noted that stopping within the adjacent layby and other highway areas would still be permitted. Similarly, an exemption is in place for buses stopping at both bus stops (GE0630 and GE0631) along the route, where bus stop clearways (No Stopping at any time Except Buses) are to be introduced. A plan of the proposed restrictions can be seen on drawing number H/MW/5176/01

Any objections should clearly state the reasons for the objections and should reach us in writing, either by letter or email, by 29th August 2025. If the objection cannot be resolved, it will be reported through the County Council’s procedures at the appropriate time.
