WATNALL ROAD, HUCKNALL - PROPOSED BUS STOP CLEARWAYS/IMPROVEMENTS

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, proposes to create 2 new enforceable bus stop clearways and install 2 new bus stop poles at the following stops, and as shown on the attached plan:-

No Stopping At Any Time, except buses - 19 metre clearway

• Watnall Road, Hucknall (AS0817)
• Hanson Crescent, Hucknall (AS0858)

Concerns have been raised about the accessibility of the bus stops for pedestrians, and buses being unable to properly use the stops due to parked vehicles. It is therefore proposed to install two new enforceable bus stop clearways, which will prohibit other vehicles from parking or waiting in the bus stop at any time. This will be clearly identified with new road markings and signage.
