Overview

Nottinghamshire County Council is committed to supporting residents, businesses and visitors in transitioning to Electric Vehicles (EVs).

One of our key focuses is the installation of public chargepoints for Electric and Plug-In Hybrid Vehicles, which will be targeted at residential areas to assist those without access to home charging facilities, and will also consider some public car park areas.

To best understand the needs and requirements of all Nottinghamshire residents, we are asking for your views on electric charging infrastructure provision in your area.

By completing this short survey, your responses will be logged and mapped to help shape an understanding of beneficial chargepoint locations, and to appreciate current and future charging demands.

Introduction:

Nottinghamshire County Council aims to install residential chargepoints across the county, and will also consider Destination Charging options.

Residential charging – Typically for long-stay usage (e.g. overnight) with a focus on homes that do not have off-street parking (e.g. a garage). They aim to provide convenient and cost-effective alternatives to the installation of personal chargepoints within individual households.

Destination charging – Typically for medium to long-stay use. These will have greater energy outputs to facilitate faster charging in locations where a vehicle may be parked for several hours (e.g. a public car park).
