Norman Avenue and Station Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Prohibition of Waiting and Parking Places, Traffic Regulation Order 2018 (4220)

Closed 29 Jun 2018

Opened 30 May 2018

Overview

Station Road is a busy local route providing access to the centre of Sutton-in-Ashfield. Norman Road is a narrow residential street off Station Road. Concerns have been raised about obstructive parking along sections of Station Road and Norman Avenue restricting visibility and access for vehicles and pedestrians. Further concerns have been raised about the amount of non-resident parking outside property numbers 41 to 49 Station Road which results in the residents of these properties, who do not all have off-street parking facilities, being unable to find a parking space near to their home.

It is proposed to introduce ‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) along sections of Station Road, a residents’ parking permit bay and a bus stop clearway (no stopping at any time, except buses) on the southern side of Station Road to prevent obstruction of the bus stop. The proposed restrictions are shown on drawing number H/JMR/2635/02.
