A620 STRAIGHT MILE, RANBY - PROPOSED PUFFIN CROSSING ADVERT

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services across Nottinghamshire. The County Council has received a request for a pedestrian crossing on the A620 Straight Mile near Ranby Prison to improve pedestrian safety.

In response, a consultation is being undertaken on proposals to introduce a Puffin crossing at this location. The proposed crossing would include a controlled zone, marked by zig-zag road markings, where stopping, parking and loading would be prohibited at all times.

In accordance with Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, I hereby enclose for your information the statutory public notice setting out Nottinghamshire County Council’s intention to introduce the puffin crossing on A620 Straight Mile, Ranby.

The public notice will be published in the Retford Times and notices will be fixed on site. A plan showing the extents of the ‘No Stopping or No Loading At Any Time’ restrictions (Zig-Zag lines) is attached (TP2630440/TS101) along with a copy of the site notice.
