Overview

The Order is intended to preserve or improve the amenities of the area by prohibiting or restricting the use on roads in the area by heavy goods vehicles. The weight limit is being introduced as part of the measures associated with the new Colliery Way (Gedling Access Road). The weight limit will stop HGVs from using Arnold Lane and will instead direct them onto the new Colliery Way (Gedling Access Road).
