The parking restrictions Traffic Regulation Order for Lawrence Street Area, Newark on Trent was Sealed on Wednesday, 26th August 2026 and will come into force on Friday, 4th September 2026. The no waiting restrictions are required to address issues with inconsiderate and obstructive parking in this area.

Via East Midlands is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services.

The County Council has received concerns  about inconsiderate and obstructive parking along Lawrence Street at its junctions with Lawrence Place, Newstead Avenue and Welbeck Avenue, Newark on Trent which is causing visibility issues at these junctions.

To address this issue, double yellow lines (‘No Waiting At Any Time’) restrictions have been introduced around the junctions, as shown on drawing number H/CLW/4647/01.
