TRO 3427 ADVERT - B6326 LONDON ROAD, BELVOIR ROAD AND LOWFIELD LANE, BALDERTON - PROPOSED DOUBLE YELLOW LINES

Overview

Via East Midlands Ltd, is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services across the county. In order to fulfil a Section 278 agreement for a new development off Lowfield Lane, Balderton, it is proposed to add double yellow lines on parts of Lowfield Lane, Balderton.

The lines would be placed around the bend on Lowfield Lane and at the junction with B6326 London Road and Belvoir Road. The aim is to stop vehicles from parking in places where they currently block drivers’ views. Parked cars in these areas make it harder for drivers to see other vehicles, especially traffic travelling along Lowfield Lane. By stopping parking in these locations, drivers will have a clearer view of the road ahead. This should make it safer to drive through the bend and at the junction and help reduce the risk of accidents for everyone using the road.

To address this issue, it is therefore proposed to introduce ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) as shown on drawing number H/CLW/5366/01 REV B. The advert will be published in the Newark Advertiser and notices will be displayed on site.
