The Nottinghamshire County Council (Abbey Road, Chartwell Road and Glenside, Kirkby-in-Ashfield) (Prohibition of Waiting) Traffic Regulation Order 2018 (4213) and Bus Stop Clearways

Overview

Nottinghamshire County Council works closely with all public transport operators across Nottinghamshire to identify bus stops and bus routes that suffer from obstructive parking. It has been reported that the buses on Trent Barton Service 3C regularly have difficulty manoeuvring around the Abbey Road/Glenside junction and accessing bus stop numbers AS0289 and AS0290 on Glenside due to parked vehicles.

To address these problems it is proposed to introduce ‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) around the junction of Abbey Road, Chartwell Road and Glenside and introduce two 19 metre long bus stop clearways (no stopping, except buses, at any time) on Glenside.
