TRO 5373 SEALED ORDER - EWE LAMB LANE AND DERBY ROAD, BRAMCOTE - DYL AND TOUCAN CROSSING

Overview

The parking restrictions Traffic Regulation Order for Ewe Lamb Lane and Derby Road, Bramcote was Sealed on Wednesday 3rd June 2026 and will come into force on Wednesday 10th June 2026. The No Waiting At Any Time restrictions are required to facilitate the safe operation of a new signallised Toucan crossing to allow for cyclists and pedestrians in both directions.

Via East Midlands Ltd is working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver highway services.

Nottinghamshire County Council has been successful in securing funding from the Government’s Active Travel Fund for improvements to improve an existing cycle route along Baulk Lane. The route has been identified as one that contributes significantly towards the council’s strategic objectives and, as a result, is included in its 15-year prioritised walking and cycle route improvement programme.  The Government funding can only be used for active travel schemes, however following the County Council’s ‘whole road’ approach the proposed improvements will benefit all Highway users.

The works have focused on improving connectivity across B5010 Derby Road / B5010 Nottingham Road and have included the installation of a new Toucan crossing on Nottingham Road, north-east of its junction with Baulk Lane.  The crossing includes lengths of zig-zag lines where parking, stopping and loading are prohibited at all times. In addition, adjacent double yellow lines have been extended to ensure the safe operation of junctions and the new crossing. The works also included carriageway and footway resurfacing and improvements such as new dropped kerbs
