Active Travel Fund - Kirby Folly Road Cycle Route Consultation

Closed 21 Dec 2022

Opened 8 Dec 2022

Overview

Thank you for expressing an interest in the County Council’s proposed Active Travel Fund (ATF) Tranche 3 scheme.  Nottinghamshire County Council has been successful in securing £4.6m from Tranche 3 of the Government’s Active Travel Fund.  We would welcome your views on the proposed cycle scheme for B6021 Kirkby Folly Road, Sutton in Ashfield.

The proposed scheme is to provide a high-quality cycle route between Sutton Parkway railway station and Hamilton Road to link to existing cycle facilities which provide a connection to Oakham Business Park in Mansfield.  The proposed cycle route will include improvements on Penny Emma Way for pedestrians and cyclists from the Sutton Parkway railway station access up to the junction of Penny Emma Way with Kirkby Folly Road. This will include improvements to the junction for both pedestrians and cyclists.  The proposals also include two route options for the section near Kirkby Folly Road.  A new Sparrow crossing is proposed on Newark Road near Hamilton Road, providing a connection to Hamilton Road through the industrial estate, with Hamilton Road becoming a ‘mixed traffic street’.

Please ensure your response is submitted by Wednesday 21 December 2022; the replies will be reviewed and fed back to the County Council, to support the decision-making process.

Any details you provide may be shared with Nottinghamshire County Council as appropriate. If you would like to find out more about how we use your data, please use the link to Via's Privacy Notice and Nottinghamshire County Council’s Privacy Notice.
