Nottinghamshire Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment consultation
Overview
Nottinghamshire County Council as the Lead Local Flood Authority has updated its Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment (PFRA) for Nottinghamshire.
The PFRA is a high-level screening exercise to identify areas where flood risk is significant. The PFRA requires the preparation and publication of a Preliminary Assessment Report (PAR), as well as associated maps, on past and future flooding, including consideration of the consequences of that flooding and the identification of Flood Risk Areas.
The PFRA covers the risk of flooding from local sources, namely ordinary watercourses, surface water and groundwater.
We would now like your views on the Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment which is a review and update of the existing PFRA for Nottinghamshire. It includes the contents of the Preliminary Assessment Report and addresses whether there are any areas where the flood risk is significant in accordance with the nationally defined thresholds.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback.
